I would put this slightly differently: some people with uteri menstruate. The common denominator is possession of a uterus that experiences menstruation. That includes some (not all) women; some (not all) females; some (not all) men. I find it useful to pry apart a person’s gender identity, their biology, and their body’s physiological processs. Menstruation is a physiological process that involves a person’s biology (their uterus, among other things) and neither really care very much about a person’s gender identity.
