Surprisingly, I totally agree with this comment! Yes, a “man” who claims he’s a “woman” is misgendering himself. Because if he’s a woman, he’s not a man, and vice versa.

What I think you meant to write was “a male who claims he’s a woman is ‘misgendering’ himself.” But, both today and throughout all known world history, there are numerous examples of persons known to be biologically male who claimed or enjoyed the social identity of a woman. And vice versa: females who were men.

If it’s madness, we’ve been mad for a long, long time…
